Professional/Academic Experience

Judy Sapegin teaches classes in elementary music education at UNC. She earned the Bachelor of Music Education and Masters of Music Education degrees at the University of Colorado, Boulder, majoring in piano and voice. Her Orff Schulwerk Certification is from the University of Denver. Ms. Sapegin taught for 32 years in the Adams Twelve Five Star School District, 28 of those at Mountain View Elementary, retiring in June of 2008. She is currently an adjunct instructor of music education at the University of Northern Colorado and serves as a new teacher mentor in Adams Twelve Five Star School District. She is a member of the Colorado Music Educators Association (CMEA) and the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association (AOSA). She currently serves on the National Board of Trustees of AOSA as a representative for Region I; in addition, she is Chair of the Publicity and Public Relations Standing Committee of AOSA.
